Davidson OutdoorsPresident (15 hrs/week) January 2014-PresentAccomplishments: Skills: Managing an Executive Board of 6 members, a club membership of 145, and a budget of $45,000. Helping organize 15 trips per semester open to the entire students, as well as semester long wilderness and group leadership courses. Coordinating the trip leader gatherings, and marketing trips. Working closely with a Vice President and the directors to sustain and improve the organization, and working closely with other organizations on campus and within the community to promote the outdoors. Treasurer May 2012 August 2013Skills: Accounting for the largest club budget on campus, allocated between trip costs, gear purchases, and programing. Backcountry Odyssey Logistics Staff Summer 2012, 2013, 2014Accomplishments: Executed and coordinated three week-long pre-orientation programs for incoming Davidson first year students. Organized and safely co-led mountain biking, whitewater canoeing, and backpacking trips including the first ever Davidson pre-orientation mountain biking experience. 
Skills: Facilitating, supporting, and mentoring my peers in their outdoor leadership as well as incoming students as they transition to college. Wilderness Leadership Skills Course Mentor Spring 2013Accomplishments: Taught and mentored a class of 16 Davidson Students a semester long course on topics ranging from wilderness survival skills to group dynamics, facilitation and leadership. The course requires 3 weekend trips including one winter backpacking experience. Experiencing how a board functions, parliamentary procedure, and learning to have my voice heard as the youngest member. Influencing beyond Davidson College and interacting with Davidson community members.
