Title: Evaluation of the variability of portable monitors to capture the temporal and spatial variability of air quality in the Charlotte region.

Methods:

Study Area:

The study did not find statistically significant variability amongst neighborhoods in the study area.

However, there was a statistical difference between the concentrations of EPA monitored six criteria pollutants in the study area and he EPA county monitor data. This conclusion suggests that the EPA cannot make the assumption that one monitor represents the air quality or the entire county.
